Chances are someone has said to you, "You have a great voice, you should do commercials!" or you thought it would be really cool to be a Voice Actor. You may have a great voice and being a Voice Actor is really cool. However having a great voice is like having an expensive 5 speed BMW. It's nice, but will do you no good until you learn how to drive a stick/manual transmission.

If you’ve ever wanted to be the voice everyone hears on TV and radio commercials, or documentary and audio book narrations,  this is your chance to move toward an exciting new adventure called voice-over.

Mike Ray will help bring out the best in you! Actor, comedian, radio host, and voice over talent, Mike Ray is holding a voice over workshop on Sat. September 18th from 11:30-4pm, at his studio in Stone Mountain, GA. This fun, informative, and empowering workshop will teach you what you need to know about the voiceover industry. The workshop will cover many different types of voiceovers and what it takes to get started as a voice actor. You will be coached, evaluated, and have an opportunity to step inside the recording booth and record.

Thank you so much for teaching your excellent voiceover workshop and for working with Ethan to record the voiceover demos that we posted online.  Ethan learned a lot about how to work in a real studio and how to better use his voice.  He really enjoyed your class.

I also want to thank you for the outstanding editing of his commercials and the flexibility of having a 1 minute and 2 minute version, we were able to send them on to his agency and they immediately posted the recordings for review from potential voiceover clients.

I’ve been told for  years, that I should do voice-overs.  I put it in the back of my head for years. Then I met

Mike Ray ( thru his radio show “ He Said, She Said”)  I notice on his website that he offered  voice-over

training.   After much coaching , I was  able to  make my first demo.  Afterward, I was scared to  send it to a agency.   But, after about 5 months , I finally sent it out to a few agency. I was pick up by a agency in Atlanta and one in Nashville. Two weeks after joining the agency in Atlanta, my agent sent me a script for a Publix commercial. I had to go back to  Mike Ray Studio to make my audition mp3. He helped me not only with coaching for the audition, but showed me how things would be in the studio,  for a job. After sending in my audition , I was concerned after not hearing anything for a few weeks. Then the email came that I got the job! First audition , and I get it.
